This Installation Agreement & Terms applies to customers who have confirmed an EV charger installation with Amtech EV. By submitting the Installation Confirmation Form after making the required booking deposit, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to the terms below.
1. INSTALLATION PACKAGE & SCOPE
The installation service provided by Amtech EV is based on the installation package selected by the Customer and the quotation issued by Amtech EV. The quoted installation package covers only the works and materials specifically stated in the quotation. Unless otherwise stated in the quotation, standard installation may include electrical protection, cabling, dedicated electrical connection, isolation switch, Sub-DB where applicable, testing and commissioning according to the selected package. The exact scope, cable allowance, equipment and specifications are based on the Customer's quotation.
2. QUOTATION & PRICING
The installation price is based on the information provided by the Customer and the expected site conditions at the time of quotation. The quoted price remains valid according to the quotation issued by Amtech EV. The final cost may vary if actual site conditions require additional works, materials, electrical upgrades or other works outside the original quotation scope. Where reasonably practicable, Amtech EV will inform the Customer before carrying out additional chargeable work and obtain the Customer's approval.
3. SITE CONDITIONS
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the installation site is accessible and reasonably suitable for EV charger installation. Amtech EV may inspect the existing electrical system, DB, wiring and other relevant components before or during installation. If the existing electrical system is found to be unsuitable, unsafe or insufficient for the proposed EV charger installation, additional corrective work or electrical upgrades may be required.
4. REQUIRED ELECTRICAL UPGRADES
If an electrical upgrade is necessary for the safe installation and operation of the EV charger, the required upgrade must be completed before Amtech EV proceeds with installation or commissioning. The Customer may appoint Amtech EV or another qualified electrical contractor to carry out the required upgrade. If the Customer appoints another contractor, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that the electrical upgrade is properly completed and suitable for the intended EV charger installation. Amtech EV will not install or commission the EV charger until the electrical system is considered safe and suitable by the installation team. If the Customer refuses or does not complete a required electrical upgrade, Amtech EV reserves the right to decline, postpone or suspend the installation.
5. WALLBOX SUPPLY & EQUIPMENT
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the wallbox required for the installation is available at the installation site on the scheduled installation date. The wallbox must be suitable for the intended installation and available together with any required accessories. The wallbox power selected in this form is for installation planning and record purposes. The Customer should provide accurate information regarding the wallbox power (7 kW, 11 kW, 22 kW). If the actual wallbox differs from the information provided and this affects the installation requirements, additional electrical works or changes to the installation scope may be required.
6. WALLBOX AVAILABILITY & RM250 REVISIT FEE
The Customer must ensure that the wallbox is available at the installation site before the Amtech EV installation team arrives. If the wallbox is unavailable and the installation cannot be completed, and Amtech EV is required to return for another appointment, a RM250.00 revisit fee will apply. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the wallbox and required accessories are ready for installation.
7. CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED EQUIPMENT
For any equipment supplied by the Customer, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is genuine, complete, suitable and compatible with the intended installation. Amtech EV is not responsible for manufacturing defects, incompatibility, missing accessories or pre-existing faults relating to customer-supplied equipment.
8. INSTALLATION APPOINTMENT & ACCESS
The Customer agrees to provide reasonable access to the property, electrical DB, installation area and other relevant areas required for the installation. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the installation team can access the site at the agreed date and time. If access is not available or the site cannot be safely accessed, the installation may need to be rescheduled.
9. BOOKING DEPOSIT
A RM200.00 booking deposit is required to confirm and secure the Customer's installation appointment. The booking deposit is paid before the Customer completes the Installation Confirmation Form. The RM200.00 booking deposit will be credited towards the Customer's total installation cost and is not an additional charge. Once the installation appointment has been confirmed, the booking deposit is non-refundable if the Customer cancels the confirmed installation. The booking deposit is used to secure the installation slot and allocate an installation team. Rescheduling may be allowed subject to availability and approval by Amtech EV. Repeated rescheduling or cancellation may result in forfeiture of the booking deposit. If cancellation or failure to proceed is caused directly by Amtech EV, Amtech EV may, at its discretion, refund the deposit or transfer it to another installation appointment.
10. PAYMENT TERMS
Unless otherwise stated in the quotation, the Customer is required to settle the remaining installation balance according to the payment terms provided by Amtech EV. The RM200.00 booking deposit will be deducted from the total installation cost. Any approved additional works or materials outside the original quotation may be charged separately.
11. ADDITIONAL WORKS
Additional charges may apply if actual site conditions require work outside the original quotation scope. Examples may include additional cable length beyond package allowance, DB upgrades, main switch replacement, replacement of unsuitable electrical components, or additional protection works. Amtech EV will inform the Customer of additional chargeable work and obtain approval before proceeding where reasonably practicable.
12. SAFETY & RIGHT TO REFUSE INSTALLATION
Safety is the priority of every installation. Amtech EV reserves the right to refuse, postpone or stop an installation if the installation team determines that the site or electrical system is unsafe or unsuitable. Amtech EV will not be required to proceed with an installation that may create an unreasonable risk to the Customer, property, equipment or installation team.
13. EXISTING ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Amtech EV is not responsible for defects, faults or deficiencies in the existing electrical installation that were present before Amtech EV's work. Where existing electrical issues are identified, Amtech EV may recommend corrective work or upgrades before proceeding.
14. INSTALLATION COMPLETION & TESTING
Upon completion of the installation, Amtech EV will perform reasonable testing of the installed EV charger and relevant electrical components. The Customer may be required to confirm that the installation has been completed. Where applicable, the installation team may provide photographs, testing information or other installation records.
15. WARRANTY
Warranty coverage is based on the selected installation package and quotation issued by Amtech EV. Product warranty, where applicable, may be subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms. Warranty does not cover misuse, accidental damage, unauthorized modifications, third-party works, electrical surges, or circumstances outside Amtech EV's control.
16. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The Customer is responsible for providing accurate information relating to customer identity, installation address, EV model, wallbox power, existing electrical installation, and property access.
17. BUILDING MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS
For apartments, condominiums, commercial properties or managed buildings, the Customer is responsible for obtaining any required approval from Building Management, JMB, MC, Landlord, Property Owner, or relevant authorities.
18. DELAYS & CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Installation dates may be affected by circumstances beyond Amtech EV's reasonable control, including supplier delays, product availability, weather, or authority requirements. Amtech EV will make reasonable efforts to communicate and reschedule affected appointments.
19. LIABILITY
Amtech EV will perform installation services with reasonable care and professional standards. Nothing in this Agreement is intended to exclude or limit any rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable Malaysian law.
20. ACCEPTANCE OF AGREEMENT
By submitting the Installation Confirmation Form, the Customer confirms that they have reviewed and understood the quotation and installation scope, understand additional charges and electrical upgrade requirements, understand wallbox availability and revisit fees, acknowledge the RM200 non-refundable booking deposit credit, and agree to the Amtech EV Installation Agreement & Terms.
